Terms at a Glance

This is a plain-language summary. The full Service Agreement governs all work.

What You Bring

You bring the design idea. At minimum, a rough sketch, a reference photo with notes, or a description of an existing style with your modifications. We don't create original designs from scratch.

What You Get

2D Blueprints — Dimensioned technical drawings with planar views, profiles, cavity depths, hardware placement, and a scale verification block. Body and neck priced separately. You receive a print-ready PDF and a CAD-ready file (DXF or DWG).

3D Models — CNC-ready solid models delivered as STEP files (or your preferred format). Multiple versions included at no extra cost.

Inlay Artwork — Production-ready vectors at 1:1 scale with a fretboard mockup. Includes the working Illustrator (.AI) source file.

Source files for blueprints and 3D models (Illustrator, Rhino) are not included by default. Available at +30% of the project fee.

What You Don't Get

CAM toolpaths, fixture/jig design, machine setup, rendered marketing images, or design consulting beyond the project scope. We design it — you machine it.

Receive a flat-rate quote with a clear deliverable list and timeline
Pay 50% deposit to start

Revisions

Three rounds included. Cosmetic tweaks are revisions. Changes to approved specs (scale length, string count, neck joint, body outline) are change orders.

Change Orders & Extra Revisions

$75/hour with a one-hour minimum. Billed in 15-minute increments after the first hour. Always quoted and approved before work starts.

Payment

50% non-refundable deposit before work begins
Remaining balance (plus any change orders) due before final files are delivered
You review watermarked proofs throughout — production files release after full payment

Ownership

Custom work: It's your design. You own it 100% after final payment.

Pre-made plans: Personal-use license. Build as many as you want, sell the guitars, but don't share or resell the files.

Your Responsibility

Verify everything before you cut. Check dimensions, scale, and fit in your own software before committing material. We are not liable for machining errors or material waste.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime. The deposit is non-refundable. If we cancel, your deposit is refunded in full.

If You Go Quiet

If we don't hear from you for 30 days during an active project, we'll send a final notice. Seven days after that, the project closes and the deposit is retained.

Questions about any of these terms? Ask before your project starts — we're happy to walk through anything.
