Source Files

Standard policy

Working source files (Rhino .3DM for 3D models, Adobe Illustrator .AI for blueprints) are not included in standard deliverables. You receive finished export files only.

Exception: Inlay artwork always includes the working Illustrator (.AI) file as standard.

Source file package: Available on request at +30% of the project fee. Includes the working native-format file(s) with full construction geometry, curves, surfaces, layers, and build history. Most relevant to professional shops with in-house CAD capability.

What's not included

The following are outside the scope of all services unless quoted separately.

CAM toolpath generation, feeds and speeds, or machining strategy
Fixture, jig, or workholding design
CNC post-processing or machine-specific file setup
Rendered marketing images
Physical prototyping or test cuts
Design consulting beyond the scope of the commissioned deliverable
Original instrument design from scratch — you bring the concept, we make it production-ready

Change orders and extra revisions

Three revision rounds are included with every project. If you need to change an approved spec-sheet parameter after work has begun — scale length, string count, neck joint, body outline — that's a change order. Extra revision rounds beyond three are billed at the same rate.

Change orders are always quoted and approved before work proceeds. No surprise charges.
